Self-contained in a five-module wide DIN plastic enclosure designed to mount onto TS-35 Top Hat mounting rail (IEC/EN 60715) that is used extensively in the electrical industry to mount circuit breakers and industrial control equipment within equipment racks. Ideal for installation in large-scale DMX512 distribution networks where space is paramount.

Remote Device Management (RDM) overlays the DMX512 network and allows controllers to configure and monitor DMX products. The MDR-DIN handles RDM and provides the ability to individually disable RDM on any of its four outputs. This feature, another LSC-first, provides protection against any connected products that do not conform to RDM which may cause flicker or jam the entire network.

Using either RDM or LSC’s HOUSTON X software, the MDR-DIN can be monitored remotely and a list of connected RDM devices can be reported, including which output each device is connected to. The state of the RDM-enable switches can be monitored and software to the MDR-DIN can be updated by HOUSTON X via RDM – so once installed there’s no need to access the product again.

All input and output connections are front panel mounted, so no awkward side access for installation or maintenance purposes. A choice of connectors is available – RJ45 connectors for installations where Cat-5 style cable is used for DMX512 reticulation or push-fit terminals for bare-ended wiring. The external DC power source is always connected via 2-pole push-fit terminals.
